On August 24, Wang posted a short thread clarifying how several Takeover abilities gate on MyPLAYER attribute ratings — not the numeric floors, but whether you need one qualifying stat or all of them. A follow-up tweet added two more abilities; an earlier note the same day flagged a Hawk description gap. Together they are a partial, first-party producer list — not a complete takeover encyclopedia for all 19 unlockable abilities in the five-discipline Takeover rebuild.
AND vs OR: how Takeover ability gates work
When a Takeover ability lists multiple attributes, the unlock logic is either OR or AND. OR means either listed rating can satisfy the gate — you do not need both. AND means you need every listed attribute to qualify at the same time; miss one and the ability stays locked. Wang did not post specific rating numbers (no 90/85-style thresholds); he only confirmed which stats combine and whether the logic is inclusive (OR) or cumulative (AND). For community-compiled numeric floors, use 2KLab’s Takeover Requirements chart — those are community numbers, not official 2K data.

If you are theory-crafting a build, treat OR abilities as flexible — a sharp shooter can path into Shot Artist or Calibrated through either perimeter rating. AND abilities are stricter: Blur needs both on-ball speed and handle investment; Muscle stacks rebounding with Strength on top of both boards.
Hawk: description omission, not a new requirement gate
Separately on August 24, Wang noted that Hawk’s in-game Takeover description does not currently mention a secondary effect: the ability also boosts pass-lane steals, not just on-ball steals. That is a tooltip/description gap, not a new attribute gate — Wang did not list Hawk alongside the AND/OR requirement clarifications above.
