NBA 2K27 Patch 1.5: Crew HQ Divisions Quit Loss Fixed, MyCAREER Blockers Resolved, Breakout Hang — No Gameplay Changes
Update 1.5 is a post-launch stability pass — Crews no longer take a false loss when an opponent quits during Crew HQ Division matches, six MyCAREER blockers and hangs are resolved across Fire & Concrete, and a Breakout lineup-delete hang is fixed. No Shot Artist, Calibrated, Crew XP, or REP tuning.
Editor’s note: This article summarizes the September 11, 2026 NBA 2K27 Patch Notes v1.5 Steam community announcement and its official patch graphic. Evan (@itsEvanCC) — Global Community & Creators at 2K/NBA 2K — shared the graphic on X; that post is community distribution of the official notes, not a standalone 2K press release. This is editorial coverage, not a 2K press release. 2khq.com is unofficial and not affiliated with 2K, Take-Two Interactive, Visual Concepts, the NBA, or the WNBA — and is distinct from 2K’s official NBA 2K HQ companion app.
Patch 1.5 is not a gameplay balance update. Where Patch 1.3 dialed back Shot Artist and Calibrated Takeover effectiveness and retuned Crew XP and REP earn rates, and Patch 1.4 shipped City stability and lobby QoL the day before worldwide launch, 1.5 stays off the court entirely. 2K’s September 11 notes are a stability and blocker-fix pass — headlined by a Crew HQ Divisions fix that stopped crews from incorrectly receiving a loss when an opponent quits, a cluster of MyCAREER save blockers and hangs across Fire & Concrete, and a Breakout hang when deleting a lineup. Treat this as post-launch housekeeping, not a meta shift.
When Update 1.5 ships
Per the official graphic, Update 1.5 is scheduled for release around September 11 at 2 AM PT on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. 2K did not list Nintendo Switch 2 in this announcement. The Steam announcement body points readers to discord.gg/nba2k for notifications; the changelog itself lives on the official patch graphic linked below.
Gameplay: no on-court changes
2K’s gameplay line matches the pattern from Patch 1.2 and Patch 1.4: no gameplay changes have been made in this update as 2K continues to monitor games across various modes by players of all skill levels.
If you patched expecting another Takeover or progression tune, you can deprioritize 1.5 for balance reasons — unless the Crew, MyCAREER, or Breakout fixes below apply to your save or squad.
Crews: false loss when opponent quits in Crew HQ Divisions
The headline Crew fix is specific and competitive: crews no longer incorrectly receive a loss when an opponent quits during a Crew HQ Division match.
That matters for anyone grinding Crew HQ ranked ladder sessions — the team hub where Crew Divisions sit among 3v3 and 5v5 ranked play. Season 1 Early Access rewards already named Crew Divisions as one of six modes eligible for 2XREP Weekends; a quit-forcing loss on the wrong Crew was a progression and standings headache, not a skill outcome. This patch removes that penalty when the opponent backs out.
For recruitment, roster tracking, and preseason Crew rankings outside this site, the sister hub 2kcrewshq.com (covered in our 2K Crews HQ explainer) remains the dedicated Crews destination. 2khq.com covers the patch; 2kcrewshq.com covers who is recruiting.
MyCAREER: six Fire & Concrete and career blockers fixed
Career players get the bulk of 1.5’s changelog — all fixes below are quoted from the official graphic:
| Area | What 2K says |
|---|---|
| Fire & Concrete rewards | Resolved an issue in MyCAREER that could prevent some Fire & Concrete rewards from being received on saves that had played Co-Op games. |
| NBA Cup (Chapter 7) | Fixed a possible blocker during the NBA Cup game in Chapter 7 of Fire & Concrete in MyCAREER. |
| Co-Op quest progression | Resolved an issue with Co-Op games in MyCAREER where one player’s quest progression could incorrectly impact another player’s save. |
| Offseason after FIBA | Fixed a blocker that could occur in the offseason of MyCAREER after the FIBA period. |
| Rising Stars (Eras save switch) | Addressed a blocker during the Rising Stars game in MyCAREER after initially starting an Eras save and then switching to a save file in the modern era. |
| Hall of Fame speech | Fixed a rare hang during the Hall of Fame speech in MyCAREER. |
Several of these mirror the save-rescue pattern from earlier patches — Patch 1.3’s Fire & Concrete co-op disconnect fix and Patch 1.4’s FIBA offseason blocker fix both told players to load the same save rather than restart a career. If your MyCAREER run stalled on any of the lines above, patch and resume on the existing file before abandoning progression.
The Co-Op quest progression fix is worth flagging for duo career runs: one player’s quest state should no longer bleed into another player’s save file during shared Co-Op sessions.
Breakout: hang when deleting a lineup
Outside MyCAREER, Breakout gets a targeted stability fix: 2K fixed a hang in Breakout that could occur when a lineup was deleted.
If you manage multiple Breakout lineups and hit a freeze after removing one, this update addresses that edge case directly.
General stability
2K’s closing line is broad: general stability updates to improve the user experience. The graphic does not itemize additional modes beyond the Crew, MyCAREER, and Breakout bullets — read this as a wider stability pass without published per-mode fix lists.

Patch 1.4 recap: what 1.5 does not repeat
To keep expectations straight after launch weekend:
| Update | Gameplay tuning? | Headline changes |
|---|---|---|
| Patch 1.3 (Aug 31) | Yes | Shot Artist and Calibrated reduced; Crew XP and REP retuned; squads, Fire & Concrete, REC, Auction House, PC mod tool |
| Patch 1.4 (Sep 3) | No | City stability, Social Menu friends list, MyCAREER FIBA fix, PS5 Edge on Steam |
| Patch 1.5 (Sep 11) | No | Crew HQ Divisions quit loss fix, six MyCAREER blockers/hangs, Breakout lineup-delete hang, general stability |
If you patched for Takeover or REP feel and skipped 1.5 thinking another balance drop landed, you can safely deprioritize — unless Crew Divisions standings, a stuck MyCAREER save, or Breakout lineup management applies to you.
What to watch after you patch
Crew officers and ladder grinders should notice Division records no longer flip to a loss when the opponent quits — note the game mode and opponent behavior if standings still look wrong after patching. MyCAREER players blocked on Fire & Concrete rewards, NBA Cup Chapter 7, offseason after FIBA, Rising Stars after an Eras-to-modern save switch, or the Hall of Fame speech should resume on the same file. Co-Op duo runs should verify quest progression stays isolated per save.
Breakout managers can delete lineups without the documented hang. And keep an eye on 2K’s Discord for the next graphic — 1.5 is post-launch housekeeping, not an on-court balance sweep.
